Sales Representative, AWG

This is a remote field position that is home office based in Arkansas.

As a Sales Representative on our AWG sales team, you will call on multiple retail customer accounts including Harps and Pyramid Foods to develop relationships and achieve maximum product sales. This is a great opportunity if you have experience doing the headquarter sales call or if you are looking to take this next step in your CPG sales career. You will lead development and implementation of planning at the account level, focusing on total volume, profit and share growth for our portfolio of brands across our Grocery & Snacks and Frozen & Refrigerated segments, including iconic brands such as Birds Eye, Duncan Hines and Hunts. You will manage, monitor, evaluate and update the overall business plan to meet all volume, profit and share objectives. You will also implement brand strategies and tactics with customers by working with decision makers and cross functional partners, and using consumer insights and category management initiatives to guide customer decision-making. You will report to a Senior Sales Director.


What You’ll Do:

  • Introduce new items, quote prices, credit terms, delivery dates and prepare sales contracts and sales reports
  • Represent, merchandise and sell desired mix of products in retail stores within identified accounts
  • Prepare sales presentations, contracts and proposals for specific merchandising and store shelving activities
  • Manage trade spending for in-store merchandising, advertising and implement category management initiatives.
  • Deliver assigned sale and margin targets
  • Communicate all customer and brand pricing notifications
  • Implement assortment, pricing and promotion plan to deliver agreed upon objectives
  • Ensure all new product authorizations and core extensions are positioned on retail shelf with appropriate timing, space, facings and targeted location
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Prepare information/project tracking reports
  • Inform supervisor of marketplace activities, issues, and opportunities
  • Work with direct guidance from your manager as it relates to business planning and customer strategy
  • Travel to customers as needed

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field required
  • 1+ year of related experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry or similar
  • Sales planning and sales execution experience; negotiation skills
  • Experience interpreting and using multiple information sources to develop customer-specific tactical plans and options
